Fleas !!!!?

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas – cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

If you don’t see dander and no indication of fleas thenn it’s something alltogether different. You need to get fido to the vet to have some test run.
If there is no evidence of fleas it could be a skin problem, but if it is fleas remember to de-flea the whole house and not just the dog and it’s bed.
Best to take the dog to the vets also for another opinion and check up, they can give you more advice.
you should treat him for fleas as a prevention not a treatment, yes he can still have them as you check his head they could be on his back, as you check there they would of moved.
Buy frontline, stronghold from your vets and treat him and your house. Something is annoying him, check with your vet first as he could have mites/mange. Its not nice keep scratching.

If you see little specks of what looks like pepper (flea dirt,aka flea feces) on him or his bedding then he has fleas. Fleas tend to hang around the neck, ears and also the hind quarters.
He also might have dry skin.
He could have both fleas and skin irritations either due to the fleas or an allergen.
Certain breeds can be susceptible to skin irritations and conditions.
Flea treatments can be harsh on the animal, the environment.

It’s been years since I’ve worked with animals but I used to recommend products with pyrethrums (derivative of chrysanthemums) for fleas and oatmeal shampoo for skin but there might be more animal/environmentally friendly products out there since that time so check around.
It would also be a good idea to take him to the vet for a check up.

USE A FLEE COMB TO BRUSH HIM DAILY.BATHE HIM FREQUENTLY SO THAT THE FLEES DROWN.MAKE SURE TO CLEAN UP ALL AREAS WHERE THE DOG LIES, TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO FLEA EGGS.

If you’ve seen any fleas…..use the flea powder on him…..and don’t forget to add some to his bedding….
Your animal might have a sign condition that they are biting and scratching at. Take them to the vet and make sure. Can just be irritation of the skin. Give them a oatmeal bath. If they stop itching so much then you know it is a skin condition.
You sure can, if fact I recommend it if there is itching. Fleas move very fast and you may not see them.
tea tree oil in the shampoo works well sprinkle a couple of drops on his bedding too

if your dog has had fleas before it could have developed into a habit,but try to get him vetchecked just in case
could be mainge. you might wanna get that checked out. also frontline is a really good tick and flea killer
i would treat him for fleas just in case, it wont hurt him, and if he still itches a week after take him to the vet!
