My cat has fleas, and I think maybe ticks… My house is infested with fleas, and possibly ticks. I’ve no clue how to get rid of them. Whats a flea bomb? I’ve sprayed my house and cat with flea spray about five times already, using almost 20 bottles of what is supposedly the best stuff out there. They’re not gone! I don’t know what to do. HELP!

Fleas are definitely a nuisance. If your cat is an older cat then try combing it daily with a flea comb to remove fleas. If you have a kitten give the kitten a bath & comb throughly to remove fleas. For your home try setting out water with dawn dishwashing liquid in it around your home, preferably close to a light source. It doesn’t need to be soapy. Fleas will jump at the light. Others have suggested sprinkling Boric acid or salt around your home as well. Hope this works!

You may need to use a flea bomb, this is a type of bug killer that takes several hours and requires you and your animals be out of the house for the hole time. Also flea spray isn’t enough to protect your pet it needs a more direct med like advantage or frontline, these protect from bugs and eggs that may be waiting in your pets fur.

Use Frontline or advantage on the cats and for the carpet use Fleabusters RX. It will work I promise. I had three cats myself and had taken in a mom cat that had just given birth to 3 babies and they all had fleas. I bought this stuff (which is safe for all pets) sprinkled it on the carpet, within 2 weeks they were gone and I havent seen any since (3 years) Trust me it works, and its better and cheaper than having an exterminator come to your house and use chemicals. I was so fed up with the fleas after trying the bombs and everything else. Try it!

you have to get them off your cat u need frontline spray you can get it at the vets office the stuff you buy in stores does not work then you need to get the bombs for your house they are cans of stuff that kill fleas and there eggs you just pull the top and you cant stay in your house while you do this

The safest and cheapest method of getting rid of fleas is to use a mixture of boric acid and salt. The powder should be sprayed on carpets, bedding and areas frequented by pets. More information on getting rid of fleas is available at http://pests.in/fleas.html

Frontline or Advantage is the best stuff out there. If you treat your cat monthly it will go a long way towards eliminating your problem. Flea bombs are mostly ineffective, they don’t get under furniture or in closets and they don’t kill all the flea life cycles (egg, larvae, nymph, adult). Try the Frontline area spray for your house and put the topical medication on the cat to solve your problem.
