My current apartment is infested and is being treated for fleas. My cat is treated with frontline and I already used a bomb once and will be bombing again this week. I am planning to move to a new and better apartment but don’t want to bring the problems with me. What should I do to prevent this from happening again over there. Should I treat the new apartment once I move my furniture there? Thanks a lot for any help.

I just got a Yorkie and he has fleas. I tried a flea collar but it’s obviously not working. I’m not sure what kind of shampoo to get. I’ve never seen the fleas in my apartment but I’m convinced they’re everywhere and I want them gone. Any suggestions?

How Can I Reduce The Risk Of Fleas Entering My New Apartment?>?

Posted September 1st, 2009 in Pet Questions by Pet Library Editor

My cat came home from the vet with fleas! It seems like they are everywhere and they are always biting me! I put some Advantage on him a week ago but he is still itching. I thought the medicine kills the fleas once they jump on him. I have changed my sheets several times. I dont’ seem to be getting bit in the bed. I am moving to another apartment in a week and about to have a baby soon. I am soooo worried the fleas will some how make it to the other apartment via furniture or clothes. What are the steps to preventing this? I can’t part with my furniture right now or else I would just throw it away b/c it is old anyways. I need some advice on how to prevent bringing them to my new apartment. Please help!!

I have 2 cats and a 1 BR apartment with carpet everywhere. What can I do to make certain that I don’t get fleas?
I am already giving them regular flea treatments, I have a couple flea traps set up, and I sprayed the apartment last month to kill whatever bug I had in the apartment before the cats arrived.

What Can You Do When You Have A Ridiculous Amount Of Fleas Outside And Your Apartment Complex Won’t Spray?

Posted July 12th, 2009 in Pet Questions by Pet Library Editor

What can you do when you’ve asked the apartment complex to spray for fleas and they don’t? Other people have complained and they are BAD. The fleas are so bad that when I take my dog outside my door to pee and then we come right back in we both have tons of fleas all over us. A few days ago I had 14 fleas all over my legs and a couple on my shirt. It HURTS when they bite. Isn’t this a health hazard? Can you get diseases from flea bites?
Thanks.

What’s The Best Way To Get Rid Of Fleas In An Apartment?

Posted July 7th, 2009 in Pet Questions by Pet Library Editor

My boyfriend’s apartment is INFESTED with fleas. You can walk inside for two seconds, step out and you will have at least 4 fleas on you. I’ve seen it happen. It started recently. One of his roomates had two cats and a small puppy and soon after, he left with the animals, leaving my boyfriend with the fleas. It sucks cause he’s the only one in the home making him the only meat the fleas want. The apartment has 3 rooms and a living room and kitchen. He has tried the foggers (at least 9 times in the last week). Even though it says to do one per home or apartment or something like that, he uses one in every room and they just seem to get worse. He’s tried the lamp with bowl and detergent and he’s only seen 4 fleas in there after he left it overnight so he doesn’t want to try that anymore. Does anyone have any ideas? We need help quick. Things are just getting worse.
