We just got a new puppy, she is a seven month old bichon. she is house trained but does not know her name or any basic commands. I would like to be able to train her without having to go to a doggy class.

I’ve enrolled my dog (6 year old mixed breed) in training classes at Petsmart. I need to know which treats to bring though. They just told us to bring treats, but didn’t give any recomendations. He likes soft treats, but I’m looking for something extra special that he will want to work for. They have to be small so he can eat them quickly too. Any suggestions?

We just adopted a 5 month old lab mix from an animal shelter and would like to bring her to training classes. Anyone know for about how much the basic training classes at Petco cost?
(I know they vary store to store, but I’m just looking for approximately how much the classes usually run for.)

I have tried a harness, without a harness, stopping and then once he stops moving going (he knows to stop, but starts to pull again.), keeping him at arms length, giving him treats when he walks nice, praising him. He still pulls and once on his leash will not listen to anything [...]

They haven’t met my dog, and didn’t specify what kind of training collar was required. My dog is rather sensitive to corrections, except on-leash ones.
What do you think?
