I am afraid that if I give the mom a flea pill or topical treatment such as Frontline that it will get into the mom’s milk and hurt the babies. I haven’t treated the mom since I found out she was pregnant. I haven’t seen any fleas on her, but the babies are 2 days old and I saw a flea on one of them today.

I have an eight-day old baby and am staying at my mom’s house. I have recently discovered a couple of fleas and flea bites around the house. My mom has a dog and a cat and I’m assuming that’s the source of the fleas. But with the new baby in the same house, what can I do to get rid of the fleas and protect us from bites?
