I shampoo them once a week, but they still get covered with fleas.

Can anyone tell me how fleas can live without a pet to live on and any suggestions on how to get ride of them. Only safe products please, I have to small children.

I know that they are pests but I do not see where they fit on a food chain, hence, why their exsistance. Do they have any natural predetors that could be unleashed to destroy the whole species?!!!Mosquitoes suck but fleas are the worst!

I might be hired at petsmart as a bather soon. Am I likely to infest my own cat with fleas if the pets I bathe have them? I’m a little worried.
