What Can I Do About Fleas Fro My 8 Week Old In The Meantime?

My pup is 8 weeks old and has A LOT of fleas. I took the dog to the vet, and the vet said not to give him a shower because of the parvo shot him received on Monday of this week. When can i buy him a flea collar? What can i do in the meantime ( NOT SHOWERS) untill i can get him one?
