Vaccuming the carpet will get rid of fleas. Then give the pet a flea bath. Problem solved. If fleas outdoors you can use some natural remedies on dog.com.
BABY SHAMPOO
Fleas can be really tough to eliminate unless you go to the vet, bathing and spraying your house alone will not do the trick. You need to use a product like Advantage or fronline which are available only from the vet usually.
You can use Dawn dish soap as long as it is the blue one it will kill the fleas.
